Closure of the Park during the Coronavirus Emergency

The Parish Council has taken the decision to close the playground and park during the current emergency in order to comply with Government instructions for avoiding people gathering and spreading the coronavirus.  The park is now padlocked and residents should not use the facility for the foreseeable future.

The Parish Council will not hesitate to contact the police if it is aware of people using the park and also use the CCTV for monitoring compliance – parents are encouraged to ensure they know where their children are and that they are following instructions to STAY AT HOME

Other green areas do remain open in the village for walk through exercise, subject to Government instructions being observed

  1. Gatherings of more than two people are strictly prohibited
  2. People should maintain a 2-metre distance between themselves and other
  3. Wash your hands for a min of 20 seconds when you return from outside

The Parish Council looks to everyone’s support of these measures, taken to help combat the spread of the coronavirus and bring about the day when we can all get back to some form of normality.
