Helios Solar Farm and Planning Inspectorate – Written Representation Stage

____________________________________________________________
Good afternoon

I am pleased to confirm that the Helios Renewable Energy Project application has been formally accepted for examination by the Planning Inspectorate.

The project, which includes ground-mounted solar arrays and a battery energy storage system, will connect to the National Grid Drax Substation (located to the west of Drax Power Station) via an underground cable.

Details of the current planning process, and information about how to submit your written representations will be available on the Planning Inspectorate’s website from 22 August 2024 and you will have until 30 September 2024 to submit comments on the proposals: https://national-infrastructure-consenting.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/EN010140

I have attached a letter which has been issued to you via post, as well as a copy of the Section 56 notice which will be formally published tomorrow, and a copy of the location plan. Please note that all documents will be available to view online at the above noted address.

I would also be grateful if you could email us with a copy of your written representations for our records.

Kind regards,

Kirsty Lodge
