Residents in Mill Lane will be aware that there have been problems with street lights along the road, including outside of the school.

The Parish Council has a contract with NYCC for repair of all street lights in the village and they have repaired lights twice since August but unfortunately due to the age of the lights in question NYCC have advised that they are likely to fault again.  The Parish Council has therefore decided to completely replace the lights and have asked NYCC to proceed with this.  The normal timeframe for replacement of street lights is three months, however the Parish Council have requested that the replacements for Mill Lane are actioned sooner due to the fact they light the area outside of the school.

Cllrs will monitor the situation and thank residents for their patience.
