NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF THE September 2020 (ORDINARY) MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL

Parish Councillors are cordially invited to a meeting of the above-named Parish which will be held on Wednesday, 16th September 2020 and which commences at 7.00 p.m.  Cllrs need to ‘log in’ from 6.50pm to ensure all are ready for commencement of the meeting

.In light of continued guidance with regard to the Coronavirus pandemic, the above meeting will be held remotely and managed by Zoom – Any members of the public wishing to join the meeting should contact the Clerk for directions on how to do this

Notice of Vacancy for Parish Councillor

NOTICE OF VACANCY
IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR

PARISH OF CAMBLESFORTH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the said Parish. If by 2 October, 2020 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer, Selby District Council, Civic Centre, Doncaster Road, Selby YO8 9FT by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place as soon as practicable and in line with the Local Government and Police Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus) (Postponement of Elections and Referendums) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020.

Cllr James Neale – Resignation from the Parish Council

This notice is to advise of the resignation of James Neale from the Parish Council due to personal commitments.  Cllrs were saddened to receive James’s resignation and will miss his valuable contribution to the Parish Council and the community of Camblesforth in general – James had worked hard for many years on behalf of the Parish Council and played an active role in many projects and initiatives for the village.

We would take this opportunity to sincerely thank him and wish him all the very best for the future

 

Camblesforth Church to Re-open

The Methodist Church - Goole & Selby Circuit

 

The Parish Council has been advised that the village church is re-opening in September for the first time since March of this year.  The Church Team have worked very hard to have the hall ready for re-opening (with a thorough regime of cleaning etc) and the first service will be on Wednesday, 16th September at 6:00pm with appropriate safety and hygiene measures in place.
