Camblesforth Methodist Church
1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday 9:15am. 2nd and 4th Sunday 10:45am.
'Drop in Prayer Hour' - held every Wednesday from 9:00am. A time of prayer and discussion. Everyone welcome.
Messy/Café Church - held 2nd Wednesday of the month. 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Activities, stories, arts/crafts. Hot meal served. Free of charge. Everyone welcome, all ages. Great fun, come and join us.
Friday club Youth Group for young people, 7 years and over. Every Friday during school term time from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Table tennis, snooker/pool, table football, games, arts/crafts and Tuck Shop. Entry fee 50p. All welcome.
Open Gardens, Vegetable, Flower & Cookery Show. Saturday, 29th July 2017, 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Theme 'Witches and Wizards'. Large number of classes in the Show for both adults and children. All in the community are welcome to enter the Show, schedules available, please ring Fiona (01757 618446) to get a copy. Several gardens open to visit. Stalls. Refreshments served.
Please join in by putting a witch or a wizard in your garden, it makes it fun and people like to see them as they walk around the village. For further details please contact Fiona (01757 618446).
Saturday, 23rd September - Flower and Art/craft Display. Afternoon Teas served. 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Sunday, 24th September - Harvest Festival Service. 10:45am.
Monday, 25th September - Harvest Quiz and Supper. 6:00pm.
Saturday, 11th November - Remembrance Day Tea and Sing-a-Long. Come and join us for afternoon tea and a sing-a-long of war-time songs (all the old favourites) led by a local singing group. We are making a 'cascade of poppies' to be displayed in the church. If anyone would like to help by making poppies (knitting, crochet etc.) please contact Fiona (618446).
A Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, 12th November at 10:45am which will include the laying of a wreath in the Memorial Garden. Everyone welcome.
Church Building Project
Our Building Project to update the church building and make it a Community Building for the use of the village is on-going. We continue to raise funds to cover the cost and in January Selby District Council gave planning permission for the alterations. Anyone wishing to help and support this project please get in touch.
